For those familiar with traveling through Appadoo Travel Tours, the universally know song “God is Great for Everyone” holds a special place. Today, I am safe and sound at home after experiencing a stroke while in America. On April 15, 2024, my wife and I embarked on a trip to Los Angeles with Appadoo Travel Tours to fulfill our long-standing dream of exploring the West Coast.

We had a fantastic time exploring from Los Angeles to San Francisco, visiting iconic places like Beverly Hills, Hollywood, the Grand Canyon, and Las Vegas. The highlight was a helicopter ride over Lake Powell, which was a unique and well-organised experience. Our guide, Catherine, was informative and engaging, while Mr. Appadoo played a fatherly role, taking care of the group’s needs. While we surely got some scoldings, heals went to the extent of making us ” Mauritian sandwiches” for lunch when we got tired of the food over there.

Despite the enjoyable trip, an unexpected incident occurred just before we were set to leave. I collapsed outside the bus and was unresponsive. My wife cried to help, and the Mauritian community rallied around us. Mrs Naz deserves my gratitudes as she ran to call for help and an ambulance came to my rescue in 8 mins. Our driver administered first aide and CPR until medical help arrived. I underwent surgery a few hours later.

This ordeal was traumatic for both my wife and me, but Mr. Appadoo and his team in Mauritius provided invaluable support, coordinating with insurance and updating my family. After a month and a half, I returned home safe and sound.
